Ya'acov Krechin
Artist
A 34-year-old visual artist and curator, graduated from "Minshar for Art" in Tel Aviv in 2018. He manages, exhibits, produces, and curates at the TikvaKovsky Gallery, which he founded in the Petah Tikva market. For the past six years, he has been showcasing his works in exhibitions, starting his career with video art and still photography. In recent years, he has shifted to intuitive abstract paintings using mixed techniques, often painting live at parties across the country.
In addition to his personal artwork, Yaakov curates exhibitions for various artists, enjoying the opportunity to imprint his visual touch on others' works. He brings psychological depth to his interactions with artists and infuses his work with art history knowledge. Yaakov also earns a living by creating graffiti for businesses and municipal bodies.
He aspires for the label to grow together with artists in mutual support and reciprocity, believing strongly in community and mutual enrichment. He feels that many artists in the country today are too focused on their individuality and hopes to see more collectivity and authentic support among artists from different mediums. Yaakov would be happy to continue showcasing alternative art paintings in his exhibitions and painting live for audiences at large and small events.
